The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children

By Harry R. Wilkens

The 3rd World Congress Against The Sexual Exploitation of Children will take place in Rio de Janeiro from November 25 to 28, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The NGOs and UN organizations participating in this conference want to achieve the protection of the children from commercial sexual exploitation. The themes of Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes will be discussed at the Conference.

However, not much has changed since the first World Congres was held in Stockholm in 1996. Theoretically, a Western tourist who sexually exploits children in Thailand can be condemned in Thailand as well as in his country of origin. However, the travel industry cannot renounce this type of tourism, which also includes the female tourists searching for cheap sex in Kenya, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Therefore, child prostitution has increased in recent years not only in Thailand, but also in Cambodia, Indonesia and Costa Rica and is set to increase even more. One can easily access such sites via conventional nudist websites... Moreover, the rather pedophile Hollywood movie "Towelhead",which now is the subject of worldwide criticism, will be released outside the USA in the next few weeks.

A recent trial in Germany against a 41 year old pedophile ended with his virtual acquittal. He liked to wash and to cream the genitals of little girls and also to give them enemas. The Tribunal of "K-Town" (Kaiserslautern) decided to forbid him, for 3 years, from interacting with prepubescent girls, but not with girls of at least 14 years of age...
