Jeffrey Morabito's works excavate our hidden and appetites and emotions and designed to construct a window through which the viewers are dared to embrace our dreams like illusions and search beyond the mundane details in the world for truth. Landscapes and figures are expressed rather indistinctly and ambiguously than in real lives, as if we grope the dream we dreamed last night or a memory in childhood. Studied at Parsons School of Design, and Graduated from the university of the Arts in Philadelphia, he also attended cadaver class in anatomy in Hahnemann university hospital in Philadelphia. He also studied at Yeoun Gok Calligraphy Academy in Seoul. Perhaps it is the reason why we often see some traces of calligraphical brushstroks on many of his works. * The exhibition opens from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. everyday (the other times asked an appointment), Sundays closed. |
