Loren Rudisuela

November 4 - 17, Jay Gallery

Loren Rudisuela's works reflect his own personal ideas about the world, of which his main theme is a debate between religion and science. Religion has been his important subject-matter.

Living in Korea, Loren has been studying the visual history of Korean culture. During the last 2 years, he has been influenced by Korean Buddhism above all. More recently he is intereted in the debate over atheism too.

Nowadays, the western mainstream of the pop cultre has been atheistic. The phenomenon of disillusion over religion today can be a reason that the self-identity of religion must be newly recreated.

Our mentality and science must resolve its differences in order for both to be received in our age.

Loren's oevres are an expression of such discussions, and proposed as a kind of result or a possible solution.
